An update from Commish White on Shady Shores road status:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding Shady Shores. I
am aware of the situation and the critical mobility this road
contributes to the area. I have made this a top priority project but,
unfortunately, can't control the weather. We have had to wait until
the water receded enough to be able to get back in there to evaluate
the problem and determine a fix. I am happy to report that we should
be able to have Shady Shores Road open very soon. We got the final
report and the recommended solution from the engineer. My Road and
Bridge guys will be out starting the job tomorrow and a contactor
should be out Friday to put a substantial amount of concrete fill
after which R&B will follow up with flexbase and overlay hopefully
next Tuesday. If all goes according to schedule, Shady Shores should
be open Wednesday, Sept 26.

and caveat...

...just please realize that variables are a part of all road projects
and I have given you the latest greatest info. If we are not able to
complete (due to weather or any other unforeseen issue) please do not
hesitate to contact me for an update. Although I can assure you that
I am trying to keep this on track and get this open ASAP!

Shady Shores road is now open all the way from Lake Dallas to Shady Shores.

Also of note:

BERRY LANE WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC BEGINNING ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2007 UNTIL ROAD CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.

THE SOUTH END OF BERRY LANE (BERRY LANE AT DOBBS) WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC BEGINNING MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2007 UNTIL ROAD CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.
